My husband was kind enough to get me out of the house yesterday (Ive been having foot problems and have been stuck at home for the past two weeks) and I was able to do a little shopping. First we stopped off at Media Markt (similar to Best Buy) and I finally got my hands on Breaking Dawn! I wasnt able to see it when it was originally released in theaters so Im quite looking forward to watching it at long last. I just hope that after all this time that I am not disappointed.
Next we headed to DM (one of our local drugstore chains). I had originally just planned on picking up another Essie Spring polish but I ended up with a few other things as well. Last time I was in DM when I purchased Navigate Her I saw Orange, Its Obvious and it peeked my interest so with my husbands urging, he always likes when I pick bright polish, I picked one up. Since the new Catrice display was put in I have been eyeing a few things. So after checking out some swatches over the past few days I decided to try out Catrices Ultimate Color Lipstick. Well to be honest I have just very recently started to wear a little makeup and I typically just go with some lip balm on my lips. I thought it might be nice to try to find a nice subtle nude lipstick. After looking at many many swatches on the net I decided to pick up 190 The Nuder The Better and 010 Be Natural. On a side note, these lipsticks smell AH-MAZING! They have a subtle sweet cotton candy scent, its by no means over powering though. However once I was in the store I noticed they had the display for the new limited edition Revoltaire collection out. This collection includes two different rather nice looking eyeshadow quads, a powder blush, a lip brush, five nail polishes and three matte lipsticks. The packaging on this collection is really cool by the way, especially the eyeshadow quad compacts. I did swatch two of the lipsticks on my hand, 02 Nude Alarm & 03 Bloody Red. Well just as I thought, Bloody Red was a bit bold for me, nor did I think it suited my skin tone. However, Nude Alarm looked really nice so I decided to go ahead and pick it up as well. I think the lipsticks retail for about 3.95 each. I used The Nuder The Better and I have Nude Alarm on right now and so far so good. I will of course do a more extensive review of the lipsticks as well as the Essie polish once I put them to further use. I am thinking that Catrice will end up being one of my go to brands. I find their packaging is of a higher quality than most drugstore brands. For instance, the lipsticks I purchased all feel pretty hefty and solid (I dont see the lids getting loose or cracking in the future) and they just look nice. I feel you get a good amount of product and I have been very happy if not impressed by the Catrice products Ive tried thus far.
Has anyone else tried Catrice products? If so, what are you opinions?
