The military trend is one that seems to be pretty popular pretty much all the time. And one can see why, what with the attention to fixtures and hardware and the cut of the clothes, it also ranks as one of the few trends that a broad spectrum of women could and can pull off. Even me :)
This above picture is also from some time ago on Polyvore and I went with a more literal approach to the military fashion trend. I kept the color palette as within range as humanly possible, going with a lot of olives, gray, black, white, that sort of thing. Every single piece in the set is something I would wear and that any woman could copy in her own way I think.
When crafting the look above, I picked out a white scoopneck tank top from The Row, a mottled shoulder bag from Alexander McQueen, a pair of `army pants` as the link calls them, a Jane Norman military tunic sweater, mixed media jewelry in the necklace and bracelet, and that ever present military cap, from Billabong (I even have one, only it`s not Billabong). My favorite part is though shoes. They are pumps, they are able to lend themselves toward a more sexy look, but they also resemble boots to me.
