I`ve remained indoor all weekend. You know just trying to be good and staying warm. But that turned into a big surprise Monday morning as I was getting ready to go to work. My car looked like a block of ice, lol. It took me at least 30 minutes to de-ice my car. Needless to say, I made it to work quite late. I`m sore today. I`ve never worked up my arms this hard trying to scrape ice off my windows and windshield. The Milani Paint palette has been one that I was curious about for a while. Little did I know that my local Wal-Mart had it in stock along with the Impressionist palette, which I actually did not know existed, lol. For the record, there is also another palette like these, I forgot what it`s called, but it has nudes and brown colors, which is perfect for those who prefer more muted colors. Packaging -To be honest, the first thing that attracted me to this product is the packaging...I mean the way the colors a meshed together to create this artist-like palette, definitely fun! -I find the packaging bulky. It could`ve been slimmer but I don`t know why they didn`t make it slimmer. If you own the Milani Illuminating Face shimmers then the packaging is the same. -There`s .35 oz or 9.92 g of products Product -The second thing I like about these eyeshadows is that they are all matte. The palette contains 7 shades -With the Impressionist palette, I found the consistency a bit more powdery and softer. The peach and yellow color was difficult to show on my skin. -With the Paint palette, I found the shades to be drier and a little harder to work with. They are still pretty decently pigmented for the most part but blending them takes a bit of work. The orange color was the hardest to work with. It was really hard to get the product out of the pan. -Swatches were done without primer. Final Thought Most of the shades have pretty decent pigmentation. Mattes tend to be a bit more difficult to work with but I didn`t have too much trouble with these. They are certainly workable. They are also a bit powdery but as long as you just use a patting motion then you`ll hardly get any fall out.I strongly recommend you use them with either a white base or colored base. It will make them pop, look more vibrant, and show better as well as last longer. Would I recommend these? Yes, if you need more matte in your life. The formula is not top notch but decent enough for what you`re paying. I think these retail for approximately $8.00. My rating: 8/10. **Pictures and contents are mine.
