Even though Milan Fashion Week is long over, the designer that impressed me most was Prada. Besides the set, the vibe, the Ready to Wear collection and of course the Prada purses, I was super impressed by Miuccia Prada statement after the show.
What really preoccupies me every time I start a collection nowadays is how political correctness proscribes what we do. You cant look too feminine, be too romanticeverything has to be undercut with a nasty edge. Judging by the times we live in, she cant be more right, and Im not talking now about designer purses and shoes. People tend to see women whether too fragile or too strong, too romantic or too edgy, to shy or too bold, but never somewhere in between. But with this collection, and now Im talking about Prada purses too, I think we can manage to build a bridge between too opposite characters.
