Microsoft will buy Yammer for 1 billion

Microsoft has agreed to buy software maker Yammer. The order is valued at one billion dollars.

To confirm the story advanced by the Wall Street Journal, the purchase of Yammer can give Microsoft some technological strengths to address the segment of social networks.

Founded in 2008, Yammer secured the preference of most major U.S. companies with the adaptation of tools typical of social networks to enterprise environments.

According to market analysts, the acquisition now revealed may result in the inclusion of tools that facilitate the sharing of posts and discussion among professionals working in enterprise solutions such as SharePoint, Exchange, Lync or Office, Microsoft.
