Microsoft has already begun the countdown to Windows XP

Hey there everyone :)

Microsoft used its blog to remind users that support for Windows XP will end in less than two years, on April 8, 2014.

Windows XP was released on 25th October 2001 and became one of the most widely used operating systems and is still the most used. Given that Windows XP was launched more than 10 years in January was still the most widely used operating system.

In the article, Stella Cherryak, director of marketing at Microsoft, points out that Windows XP and Office 2003, another software that will finish the same day, were big hits in his time, but technological changes necessitate change.

It is true that his successor, Windows Vista was a failure, but Windows 7 is much better and more stable now and the change is justified.

But given that Windows 8 is out, worth the wait? If you really like Windows XP, I believe worth the wait, but Windows 8 will bring plenty of news, particularly at the interface via the Metro. Microsoft has released the Beta and Windows 8 will be available in October.
