You will catch me buying picture frames all the time at Michael`s Craft Store. Last week there was a clearance sale and I ended up spotting these cute metal expression phrases: family, friends, live laugh love for only 9 cents each, originally 99 cents. These metal expression phrases are magnetic to a specific kind of picture frame but the picture frame is just simple black for like $8+? I opt the picture frame but bought these metal expression phrases because they were cheap and I like the simple words/phrases. What was I going to do with these? No idea, but I decided to turn them into magnets for my file cabinet!
This is a very simple, self explanatory, inexpensive project D.I.Y!
What you`ll need:
Magnetic strips (there are all sorts, adhesive ones, ones that aren`t adhesive - the one I bought is not adhesive but it`s magnetic so it stuck on my metal like nothing so I did not need to apply any glue)
The item you`ll want to be a magnet, in my case the family/friends/live laugh love metal expression
1. All you do is cut the magnetic strips to the size of the item you want to be a magnet
2. Apply glue (if needed, in my case I didn`t)
3. Tah-dah your magnet!
You can do this to bottle caps, wine corks, and so forth be creative! I am looking forward to making more magnets! Very fun yet inexpensive too, magnets can get quite pricey.
