I LOVE Meringues!! I love pairing them with a lot of my deserts. I always bought my meringue nests but then I thought.... Hey... why not make my own? :P So here is the recipe that I use to make my meringues.
3 Large egg whites
175g(6oz) caster sugar
pinch of salt
1)Heat oven to 140degrees celcius (gas mark 1), line trays with grease proof paper
2)Place the egg whites and pinch of salt in the bowl of a mixer. Whisk on low for 1min, medium for 2-3mins till stiff peaks.
3)Gradually add tablespoon of sugar whilst whisking. (approx 5-10mins)
4)Place on tray
5)Bake for 30-40mins till stiff and dry.
