Lilly Mah did a post about an artist Lani Beloso who uses her period for art which you can read http://www.luuux.com/design/paint-your-period-artistic-or-disgusting Using menstrual fluid for your art is known as Menstrala and surprisingly it`s not as uncommon as you would think. Personally, I am not a fan of this artistic medium, but the pieces some of the ladies make are quite amazing which only speaks of the artistic talent of the women. In this blog, (be warned, some are a bit disturbing) you have women sharing their art pieces, here: http://blood-art.livejournal.com/ Like Lani Beloso, you also have some more established artists that have had their menstrual work exhitibited at galleries such as Vanessa Tiegs. Her website featuring her amazing work can be found here: http://menstrala.blogspot.com/ From my other posts you know that I like to collect art. But as much as I like some of the pieces just knowing that the paint came from someone`s body means I would not be collecting these art any time soon! Talk the TALK 1) What do you think of painting with your menstrual period? 2) Would you buy a piece of art painted with menstrual period?
