When looking for a mascara, do you focus on length or volume? I always look for both when purchasing. Recentally, I decided to try out the Maybelline Falsies and Colossal mascaras. I used the falsies first, and I LOVED it-for the most part. I really liked how it covered my entire lash, from top to bottom and all around. It lengthened and thickened them, in a way that could be paired with a smokey eye for a dinner party or a light champagne shadow for daytime. There were only a few cons, like how it seemed to clump together after a while of wearing it, or the fact that it smudged VERY easily. Otherwise, I liked the look of it.
As for Colossal, it did a good job covering my lashes, but it defiantly had its flaws. First of all, it took SOOO long to dry. Seriously, if i even dared to blink or look up, I would end up with nice mascara dots on my perfectly applied eyeshadow, and I would start all over again. When it did dry, I had the same problem, but on my bottom lids. After a while, the mascara got dusty and flaky (EEWWW, right?!) Lastly, though it seemed thick and dark on application, when worn for a while, it fades and looks kind of drab.
Clearly, my decision is clear-when chosing between Falsies and Colossal, I grab the ultra-violet Falsies tube every time. Hope this helps you when you`re trying to choose!
