I went to Walmart today and saw a beautiful display of new makeup. They were the new products from Maybelline`s new line called "FIT ME". It is meant to blend in with your natural skin tone and be very natural looking (not full coverage). The foundation comes in a 1 oz. glass bottle (no pump, no surprise). It has SPF 18. This line is complete with concealer, powder, blushes, and bronzers (all catered to your skin tone).
The amazing thing is they had small sample bottles you could try. OMG I loved it! The display is separated by three levels: light, medium, and dark. There are four different colors in each shade. I swatched all four of the medium shade and I notice they all had different undertones.
220: The undertone was yellow so it would be great for NC`s
230: This had an orange undertone
235: This had a gray undertone. I`m not quite sure, but it seems pale
240? (I can`t remember the exact #): Pink Undertone good for NW`s
So I`m assuming that the light and dark shades will follow the same undertone. For example, 120 in light and 320 in dark will probably have a yellow undertone.
Drugstore foundations are always difficult for me to match to myself, so you may have to mix and match to find a perfect shade if nothing from the line works for you. But the good news is this foundation is less opaque and sheer so it will blend better into your neckline.
I am about an NC 37/40, so I was going to try out 220. I will let you know how it matches me and give you a full review :).
Hope this helps!
