Last year we were introduced to Maybelline`s `Fit Me` series which caused a positive bang in the beauty world. The idea behind Maybelline`s `Fit Me` line is to find a perfect match to your skin. I picked up the foundation last month and want to share my thoughts.
The foundation is split into a handy system to help you find your perfect match.
Light/Fair skin (100`s)
Medium Skin (200`s)
Dark Skin (300`s)
Maybelline also took into account the undertone of your skin so each shade has a suitable counterpart to match yellow or pink undertone.
The packaging is really nice and sleek, it looks in par with some of the higher end brands. The foundation is packaged in a glass bottle and has pump applicator. One pump did about 3/4 of my face so less than two pumps is ideal for me.
To apply the foundation I used a stippling brush, the foundation was great to apply it`s not a thick foundation so you might think you need a lot but in reality you don`t. The shade I picked up was 120 and it`s a tad to dark for me but not really noticeable. The finish is on the dewy side but gives a nice glow rather than look oily. It lasted for a good eight hours with minor touch ups and considering it`s drugstore I am delighted with my results. At the minute it`s my daily foundation.
The foundation retails for 11.99 and is available in 12 shades (18 in the US) from any pharmacies nationwide. I purchased mine in Boots.
