Maybelline Fit ME Foundation Stick Review
I posted a haul recently where I bought some skincare items, as well as this Maybelline stick foundation from their Fit Me line.
(see here: http://www.luuux.com/viz/walmart-skin-care-haul)
I`ve been using the foundation stick since I bought it, and I wanted to share my thoughts with all of you.
I usually don`t wear foundation. I have been blessed with fairly clear skin, so I usually just use a BB cream to get some coverage. However, I was looking for a stick foundation that I could use on the go when need be, and this seemed like it would be a good Fit (pardon the pun).
This particular foundation stick has an `Anti-shine` core that is meant to help prevent oil build up.
I have to opposite problem when it comes to shine -I have very dry skin (the only part of my face that ever gets oily is probably my nose).
Overall, I`ve been very happy with this product. It`s very smooth and applies really well. It`s also buildable, so has decent coverage. At first glance, I really liked the way this looked when I applied it.
My problem has been with the wear of this product. I don`t know of this is due to the anti-shine core, but after a few hours, my skin starts to look very dry and flaky when using this product. I must say, the core must be doing its job
However, if I moisturize well before applying, this lasts really well throughout the day. I`ve had success wearing this for over 10 hours, and it still looks great at the end of the day, as long as I remember my moisturizer.
I was also able to get a really good colour match since they had a good variety of shades. I picked 120 Classic Ivory, and it blends in really nicely with my skin.
Since it is so creamy, I`ve considered even buying a darker shade to use as a contour.
I`m wondering if they have a regular version that doesn`t have the anti shine core. I would be interested in trying that to see if it helps prevent the scaly look I get when I don`t moisturize.
This is probably the first foundation stick I`ve ever used, but I really like it, especially for its convenience!
What is your favourite foundation stick? I`m curious in trying some others as well!
