First of all, I`m sorry I haven`t been blogging for a ridiculously long amount of time, but I got so busy and completely forgot about luux.
Now to the point of my post...
After much hype I finally broke down and purchased two shades of the Maybelline Color Tattoo Shadows. I own Edgy Emerald and Bad to the Bronze.
Edgy Emerald: In my opinion I would recommend not buying this shade. The color is very beautiful but the color payoff is pretty poor and streaky. You have to put on three layers just to make it show up true to it`s color in the pot. When you blend it out it`s very streaky. If you want to buy this shade I would recommend using it as only a base.
Bad to the Bronze: This baby is where the Color Tattoo Shadows live up to their hype. The color is gorgeous and it rivals many upper end brands in: color, consistency, and lasting time. It takes one layer for this shade to be true and once it sits for a minute you can drag your fingers across and it doesn`t smudge.
I plan on buying the Tough as Taupe shade as well because a friend of mine has it and loves it. I think Maybelline did a really good job with this collection. I just feel like the brighter colors probably have a harder time at being true to color and having a good consistency.
