So to start off, I purchased this product at my local CVS after getting $10 extra bucks to CVS. This product was a little more then $9, however. Which I find a little much considering that my favorite liquid foundations are about $12, which is not that much of a difference. But back to this product, I found that it is a MISS for me and that I do not like this product as much as I hoped I would.
+WHY I BOUGHT IT: The main point of this product was for at least for me was to replace my liquid foundation. Because that has been all that I`ve been using, and it`s not really that heavy but I`d love to give my skin a break and not mask it too too much. I`ve also heard that creme foundations are really good for winter months.
+TEXTURE: I do love the texture of this product. It`s probably the only thing that I love. Like I said before it`s a cream to powder finish which is smoothe just like in the name of the product. It reminds me of Benefit`s Some Kind of Gorgeous creme foundation, which is pretty much the same thing. I only have a tiny sample of the Benefit product.
+COLOR SELECTION: I find that Maybelline in general lacks color selection a lot of their products. Not all, but a majority and for me at least this is not an exception. Online there was more a selection of colors then available at my CVS. I couldn`t find a color, in my range that being a medium tone (NC 42)
+OIL CONTROL: This product has no type of oil control. Just average about 2-3 hours after, even once I`ve applied a finishing powder. I find that this product kind of goes from a cream to powder finish. And powder on powder doesn`t really work well.
+LASTING POWER: I used this each and every time with my Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing primer. And although I always use this primer before applying this foundation, it does not last on my skin. (I also apply a powder over) I feel that it slips and slides, and that is not a selling point for any foundation.
+FINAL VERDICT: I had a bad experience with this product, and I research a lot before ever buying and was a little disappointed with what I had come across. This is definitely going back to the store.
