Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk: Swatch amp First Impressions

So...I bought another Maybelline Color Tattoo! They were on sale, and I couldn`t resist. Because they are quite a new product, I hadn`t seen them on sale yet anywhere else. So I feel that I could justify my purchase, lol! They were on for $6.99, and were $10 or $11 regular price, I believe. Apparently, they are $6.99 at Ulta, but I live in Canada and prices are often jacked up here. >.<

This shade, Pomegranate Punk, looks SUPER pretty in the pot. It`s more difficult to swatch evenly than Bold Gold (the other shade I have), though I did only use my finger. I spoke with someone else who had this shade, and they told me to use a wet/dry brush to apply it. I can see how a stiff-bristled brush would work a lot better with this eyeshadow than just my fingers. And apparently, the less shimmery/glittery shades of Color Tattoo are supposed to be smoother and easier to work with, in general, though I can`t confirm this from my own experience as I haven`t tried out all the shades yet. All the swatches of Tough As Taupe that I`ve seen so far, though, have been GORGEOUS. If I weren`t so warm-toned, I would have snapped that one up (it`s a cool-toned neutral).

The bottom line so far is that I like this shade and think it`s really pretty. However, it looks like it might be a little tricky to work with. I will definitely need to use a brush to apply it, and it may need some layering. I find that the Bold Gold shade is easier to work with so far, and is more receptive to layering. Hopefully I can make Pomegranate Punk work for me, though!
