Mavericks Rumors: Dirk Nowitzki May Only Play 2 More NBA Seasons?

Dirk Nowitzki may only play two more NBA seasons according to his Twitter feed. He would retire at age 36 if that were to happen.

Nowitzki`s career was of course topped off with his NBA championship two seasons ago. Now that he has the icing on the cake, pondering retirement at age 36 makes sense especially seeing his Mavericks team decimated in free agency.

Right now, according to ESPN`s statistics, Nowitzki has recorded 22.9 points per game (24,134 total), he`s an 11-time NBA All-Star, 4-time All-NBA first team selection and he has a ring.

If his career ended tomorrow he would be a Hall of Famer in my estimation. He has done enough throughout his career and he has that ring something people always bring up when discussing players and the hall of fame.

Nowitzki was answering question after question from fans on Twitter so there maybe is a chance he was just talking that talk. Athletes tend to do that on social networks.

Regardless of when he truly decides to hang up that No. 41 jersey in Dallas, not only will the Mavericks be hanging his jersey from the rafters he will find his name etched in NBA history, in the hall of fame as one of the best players to ever play in the league.
