Mary Jane Pumps from Charlotte Russe

Hi everyone! Have you ever seen a style of shoe and it becomes you latest obsession? Well that`s what happened to me after seeing the Edith shoes from ShoeMint (the shoe equivalent of JewelMint) several months ago. I didn`t hop on those shoes because they were $80 from ShoeMint AND there was the subscription component of the site. The Ediths from ShM are actually modeled from the Viktoree shoes by Steve Madden, but those were over $100 and were gone by the time Edith made an appearance. Since that time I have been sort of keeping an eye out of blush colored Mary Jane pumps, and with fall around the corner those types of shoes are making a comeback. ShM recently released the Molly shoe, which is also an MJ pump, but there is still the matter of price and the subscription, so I set out to find some cheaper alternatives. I was literally wracking my brain for places to look for shoes, and randomly thought of Charlotte Russe. I haven`t bought anything from them in ages, so I had no idea what they had on their website but was pleasantly surprised to find they had a couple styles of MJ pumps to choose from. I bought these during a 20% off site wide sale, so these were about $31 instead of the normal $39.50. I was really excited to receive them in the mail, but was less than thrilled after opening the box. The front part of the shoes is VERY chunky and the buckle is covered in faux suede which makes it difficult to put on and off because the material of the strap and the buckle rub against each other. When I put on the shoes, I wasn`t happy either. The chunkiness of the front made my feet look larger, and the toe boe area didn`t completely cover my toes so there was a lot of toe cleavage. I have very long toes and try to disguise that fact when wearing covered shoes as much as possible, so these were returned to the store. Another issue was that my feet are pretty true 9.5, but for a lot of companies whose main products ARE NOT shoes, they will do half sizes up to 8.5 and then whole sizes after that, so 10 was my next best option because 9s tend to be too small. The 10 was a little too big. These shoes are also only available online, so if you`re someone who tends to run the gamut of sizes you may want to try the shoes on in store to get an idea or buy all of your usual sizes from the website and return the ones that don`t fit. Currently Charlotte Russe is having a sale on their shoes: buy one get the second pair for $15.50, so this would be a good time to try some of their shoes if you`re interested. Thanks for reading!
