My coworker came back from his trip to London and Paris and with him, he bought a lot of goodies to the office including shortbread cookies, chocolate and biscuits.
My favorite was the tin of Mark & Spencer`s shortbread cookies that he bought back from London.
They`re a lot more buttery than the ones we find in Canada and they melt instantly in your mouth =)
The best part was the sugar coated frosting on top. It wasn`t regular sugar though. I think it was agave or cane sugar as it had a slight fruity taste to it and it wasn`t too sweet.
And you can tell that it isn`t broken out evenly as the tin had 5 huge round pieces of shortbread that you had to break apart yourself =P
Because it`s so rich, you get full after eating 1/8 of the piece, which is what I`m holding in my hand.
