I have to admit, I`m not very consistent when it comes to monthly faves, bad me right? there really isn`t anything to exciting, it`s the basics actually but I did find myself going back to these every time I did my makeup.
Bare Escentuals Ready Bronzer in "the high dive" - although it looks VERY dark and orange in the picture, it truly isn`t. I do go with a very light hand because it`s very pigmented which also means it`s very easy to build the color up. there`s no crazy powderyness when the brush hits the pan which is also a huge plus. it`s matte and just a great bronzer all around. this is the medium shade of the 3 ready bronzers they now carry.
Bare Escentuals Ready blush in "the aphrodisiac" - wow, I was very pleasantly surprised when I bought this blush and it has become a favorite fast. it blends like a dream, easy to build up color as well, buttery soft, great pigmentation. this shade is perfect for that flushed look too. it`s a touch like Nars Orgasm but way more pink/mauve. it doesn`t really have shimmer, it`s more of a sheen but it`s so subtle, just a perfect every day blush.
Garnier BB cream - I have tried numerous tinted moisturizers but no BB creams, so yeah, I was totally skeptical about this product but holy cow !!! I love that it has more coverage than a TM, but it`s not nearly as heavy as a regular foundation, I mean it`s probably like Nars Sheer Glow but thicker I`d say. it blends very nicely and in spite of all my yellowness the shade Light matches me quite well. it gives me enough coverage and it`s great for those no make up looks. it`s not friendly to the oily skin though so I do have to set it with powder and blot a couple of times a day which I really don`t mind.
Buxom gel liner in "leatherette" - now THIS is a gel liner. I don`t know how it compares to say Clinique or Bobbi Brown, I do know it`s so much better than a fluidline though. it`s a very deep black, super pigmented and it glides so smoothly. oh sure an added bonus is that claim to make lashes grow a little longer, not that I`ve seen a difference. my favorite brush to use with this liner is the Tarte double ended one, the fine one gives me the thinnest line ever.
Lips - I`m so not going to write a whole schpeal about this because well, I already have ! I am crazy in love with the MUFE lipliner in 1C, Edward Bess lipstick in Secret Desire and Dior lipstick in Parisian Chic. (for swatches check out this post)
Bare Minerals Well Rested - I don`t wear concealer, I mean like next to never. I don`t like the way it settles under my eyes and since I`ve embraced my skin and it`s flaws then I just don`t feel the need for it. well and it makes me feel like I`ve got a ton of products on my face, blech. instead of concealer I use this pretty little powder which just brightens the skin under my eyes so well. I just buff a little bit in a triangle shape under my eyes and by my nose and it`s just beautiful.
Too Faced Shadow Insurance - I got this little sample tube and I have to say, I really enjoy it, maybe more than my original UDPP, I love the Eden one though. it does the job, I need the smallest amount ever and my shadows don`t crease, what more could you ask for right?
Mac eyebrow pencil in Lingering - it`s just easy, very easy to use. I really loved my Anastasia brow wiz in brunette which is gone and since I had a back up of Lingering I figured I`d use that up first. it`s lighter than my natural hair color but I add a touch of warmer brown and it works perfectly well.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - why oh why did I fall for it again? I didn`t like it the first time I tried it, not sure why I thought this time it would be different but yeah no, it wasn`t. I swear I can not even see it on my skin, so what`s the point right? I mean that`s way beyond light coverage, it`s essentially not existent and so it`s going back to Sephora, which is why I didn`t even bother to photograph the sucker, I hate it that much lol
well that`s it for this month`s favorites, can`t wait to see what April brings !
