Marc by Marc Jacobs Natasha First Impressions

Marc Jacobs is an icon when it comes to fashion. His bags are splurge worthy! I`ve always been eyeing his Marc by Marc Jacobs bags since they are cheaper than just Marc Jacobs. There are a few that I love from his MBMJ Classic Q line such as Natasha, Hiller Hobo, and Fran. It was a very difficult choice between which one I wanted to buy. But after a long decision, I decided to settle for the Natasha bag.

The Natasha bag is a shoulder bag and is in a sense smaller than the Hiller Hobo and Fran. But since I am petite, I thought the Natasha would fit my body better. But I have this strange love for big bags and have quite a few, so I thought that the Natasha would be a good smaller bag to own. I have heard a lot of raves for this bag and most girls I know own this one compared to any other Classic Q bags.

First Impressions:

-Size: The Natasha comes in two different sizes: regular and mini. I decided to get the regular one since I generally carry many things and thought the mini would be too small for my daily out and abouts. According to Nordstrom, the size for this bag is: 12 1/2`W x 8 1/2`H x 4`D and has a 20` to 24` strap.

-Flap: The flap of the bag has a zipper which is a nice touch look-wise, but it is also functional. You can unzip the zipper and have a new `pouch` which goes all the way down the bag, so it`s practically the same size as the whole bag. This would be great to keep important things in that you don`t want stolen by pick-pocketers. I really like the scrunched bottom rather than a plain edge that`s straight. On the flap there is the iconic MBMJ plaque in a `gold` colour.

-Strap: The shoulder strap is adjustable which is great since I`m short.

-Pockets: Besides the big zipper pocket (if you could call it that), inside the main pouch there is a zippered pocket and two smaller pockets.

-Interior design: Older MBMJ bags used to come with wonderful pretty lining, however, sadly for me, the lining is the typical black and white `Marc by Marc Jacobs` block writing.

-Price: Marc Jacobs is definitely not a cheap designer compared to other contemporary designers such as Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff. Since I live in Canada, this bag costed me a pretty penny compared to the States. It`s a bit over $430 without taxes (depending on where you shop).

Overall, I am in love with this bag! This is my first MBMJ bag and it definitely won`t be my last since I`ve got a few other favourite I want to get.

Do you own any MJ or MBMJ bags?
