Mani: Fuchsia Shock Me NYC

I did this manicure last week on Thursday 5/23/2013 and since I am about to redo my nails (most likely tomorrow or the day after) I wanted to share it with you all and let you all know how it held up.

So this manicure consisted of:
* LA COLORS BASE COAT/TOP COAT (for my base). I got this for only $1.00 at my local Dollar Tree a while ago and Im just trying to use it up. I dont like it as a top coat but it works great as a base coat.
*NYC LONG WEARING NAIL POLISH IN NUMBER 111 FUCHSIA SHOCK CRÈME. This is one of the most recent nail polishes I got. I paid less than $1.00 for it because Rite Aid was having a clearance on this line. I REALLLLYYY love the color! It is a gorgeous medium pink. It is really pretty against my skin tone in my opinion. I also love that it is a cream finish. However, I dont like that it took 3 coats to get to full opacity without streaks. I also dont like that it chipped after only 4 days with a long wearing claim. But, this stuff did cost me less than $1.00 so I can`t really complain. The formula was very nice though. It applied very easily and the small brush made it really easy to polish my nails without a lot of messing up.

*NYC CRACK ME UP CRACKLING EFFECT TOP COAT IN SHOCK ME NYC. This was only $1.00 and these have to be the best crackle polishes I own in regards to the effect it creates (I havent tried the OPI or the China Glaze crackle polishes yet but Ive tried other brands). Im really liking the crackle effect nail polish for my accent nail these days. Especially since I suck at doing designs. This is easy and it looks great. I apply a nice full coat on the nail and it begins to dry and crackle in seconds. I love this deep purple. It is a pearl finish which looks great over the cream finish polish.

*SECHE VITE TOP COAT. I then topped it off with my FAVORITE top coat. I actually applied the top coat again on Saturday night.

Overall, I LOVED my manicure for the past few days. The color is so gorgeous and Spring/Summer appropriate. It also makes my nails hard and strong feeling which is nice since my nails are always breaking. I do wish it would have lasted longer. 4 days is typical for a cheap nail polish so it definitely was not particularly long wearing. I will definitely be using this shade again sometime soon.

Does anyone else own this shade?
What do you all think of NYCs nail polishes??
What is your go to color for Spring/Summer??

Thanks for checking this out!!
