Whenever I miss eating a certain dish from home, I try to re-create it in my kitchen with all the basic ingredients I have. Sometimes I am lucky and everything turned out delicious while there are days when I feel like feeding my food to the dogs :) Has that every happened to any of you? I was craving for Malay friend noodles and decided to make it with whatever I had in the fridge. The most important ingredients for making this noodle is that you`ll have to have sweet soy sauce, ketchup and sweet chilli sauce :) If you have all these three ingredients, it`s almost guaranteed that you`ll have a plate of yummylicious fried noodles. I used the regular chow mien noodles and added all three of the sauces and fried up two eggs on the side before mixing them into the noodles. I also stir fry up some vegetables such as red bell pepper, celery, bean sprouts and carrots. In a separate pan, I pan fried some vegetarian ham as well as bean curds before adding everything together in the noodles. This happened to be one of my successful dishes and my husband happily polished off everything and gave me a satisfied grin after a big burp. I love it when the hubs appreciate the food I made for him!:D
