My coworkers has been raving about Life of Pi. I finally got to see it today with a day off. It`s a very interesting movie and pretty long too I must say. There`s a lot of stunning visuals as the movie is available in 3D.
In case you`ve never heard of the movie, it`s directed by Ang Lee and is based on a book of the same name by author Yann Martel. It`s the story of an Indian (no, not the Navajo kind) being interviewed by a man about his experience. You see he was stranded in the Pacific ocean for about a year with a Bengal Tiger. The whole movie is not about him and the tiger but it takes a good 1/3. There`s a lot of life lessons in this movie as well as the book. As there are two stories to him being stranded. Which you choose to believe supposedly defines you. But of course there is no right or wrong answer. Overall, I would recommend this film. I would not be surprised if it won an award.
