Mak`s Disney Chimpanzee Screening!

I was able to catch one of the first screenings in the country for Disney`s Chimpanzee. The movie is by British producer/director Alastair Fothergill, whose credits include the landmark Planet Earth series for the BBC and The Discovery Channel and The Blue Planet.

Getting the screening was quite a journey. Living deep inside Brooklyn commuting to the Upper East Side when trains aren`t running as they`re suppose to was quite hectic. But nothing deter us as the movie was FREE and AMC had a free small popcorn for liking them on their Facebook. =D

The movie was kind of what I expected but in some parts it really blew me away. This is not the type of movie I would normally pay to watch. I frankly would`ve rather be at the Tribeca Film Festival screening downtown of The Avengers today! But the musical score, the story told through the narration of Tim Allen and the cinematography are all... AMAZING. If you don`t catch it in the theaters at least go rent it when it`s on DVD/Blu Ray. It`s definitely worth watching at least once. You learn a lot about them. The story is told with the focus on a particular group of Chimpanzees with a baby Chimp Oscar as the main character. He`s SO adorable!

Talk the TALK
1) Do you plan to watch Disney`s Chimpanzees?
2) Do you like nature movies?
