Mak`s Castaway Cay Adventure!

It`s rare that I`ll post a pic of the Mrs. But she rejected the other pic of my foot in her face. LOL. Yes I`m a sweet husband! Today`s places post is about Disneys private island Castaway Cay located in the Bahamas.

We made our way to this island a day after visiting Nassau, Bahamas. It is their private island with a tram trolley that takes you to various parts of the island. They have a dock which was nice, as Norweigian didn`t and used small boats to transport people from the cruise ship to their island. The reason this is important is my father is elderly and it would`ve been difficult for him to get on to those very rocky small boats.

On the island they have tons of activity from parasailing, to jet skis to snorkeling. They have a huge slide you can see in the background of this picture. A lot of things on the island was not free, like if you want to ride a bike or use a cabana to rest. A cabana rental was like $400-600 but still it was sold out since there were a limited supply.

My family and I mainly just played on the beach. A family left early and left their Mickey Mouse shovel and pail set, so my daughter and cousins made use of that. The lunch was typical grilled food like burgers, chicken, and hot dogs. My sister said there were short ribs over at the Adults only side. Which she didn`t bring me back any. ~_~

Talk the talk:

1) have you ever visited the Bahamas?

2) do you enjoy grill food?

Pics are my own
