You know the days when it is pouring rain, or the weather is crummy out and the last thing you want to do is sit at home...However, you don`t want to do the same thing like run to the mall (yes, I said that), instead you want to do something to get your creative juices flowing....
A few weekends ago at my shore house, it was crummy out so I decided to go to a fun pottery place by my house called Get Fired Up.....Fabulous amazing ceramic pieces to paint, and then you leave the piece with them to get glazed and fired to have that fabulous shiny finish....
I decided to paint a little cupcake, because it is quit expensive, and give it fun pastel shore like colors so I could keep it in my room at the beach....So I popped open paint and started to get creative, with teal, blues, greens, and pinks.....After a few hours I was done, and had a fabulous piece!
This little cupcake piece, has the shore look I was going for....It has a beautiful deep blue on the base of it, which also goes above in the sprinkles....The inside of the cupcake is painted in green, with "Life is Sweet" written inside of it....The frosting was done in a cream light color, with accents of everyones favorite sprinkes, which I did in pink, green, light blue and white.....And what cupcake would be complete without a light pink cherry on top....
This cute little cupcake sits on my dresser in my shore house...It really is a cute accent, and is different then the typical shore stuff we decorate with....Plus it is personalized and was made by me!
