My family and I got together a day early to celebrate Chinese New Year tonight. We had dinner at Joy K on Bay Parkway which is a pretty good place for Dim Sum. Their evening entrees were very good too I must say.
I have 2 sisters and each of them have 3 kids, along with my parents it`s a total of 15 people. We use to have dinner at my parents when there were less kids but since we`re a big group now we have to eat out the last few years.
Chinese New Years is Monday, and families usually get together on New Years Eve for dinner. But my sister has obligations to her husband`s side so we did it today.
Some of the food we got as you can see from the picture includes Fried Tofu, Crispy (No not that Crispy... =P) T-Bone Steak, Fried Chicken, Lo Mein, Jellyfish, Clams, and more! To end the evening we got red bean soup. Too bad no oranges...
As I said before, everything was excellent! =) The total for the 15 of us came out to $161 before tips. Not a bad deal at all considering the amount of food we got.
Talk the TALK
1) Do you celebrate the Lunar New Year? If so what do you usually eat?
2) What did you have for dinner this evening?
Pics are all mines. =D
