H&M has done other collaboration in the past with such designers like Versace and Marni. Currently, they collaborated with MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA. I`ve already previewed the lookbook and honestly, I have to say that its a FAIL... Obviously there are a few good pieces in the collection but majority of them are so unwearable. First of all, I`m not even familiar with this designer but from the looks of their design style, its totally avant-garde stuff. The items really pushes boundaries as to what the "normal" public wears vs. whats seen on the catwalk. Also, the prices are a lot higher than what you`re use to seeing at H&M. The overall collection has a lot of over-sized apparel that is better suited for 6 ft. tall models. Theres a lot of drappy dresses, skirts, jackets, and tops. The middle image shows one of the jeans that are extremely oversized. The top is an actual nude colored long sleeved bodysuit. The feel is sleek, chic, conservative, mature, and innovative. However, I dont think it will be flattering on. This collection also includes, shoes, menswear, accessories. A total pass for me.
