Mainstays Candles, available for purchase at Walmart stores, pleasantly surprised me with how strong and long lasting they were. I`m more of a fall scents type of person, so naturally I chose: Milled Cider, Warm Apple Pie, Gingerbread, and Pumpkin Spice.
Pumpkin Spice and Gingerbread were by far the strongest scents - I can`t burn pumpkin for too long or else it starts to overwhelm me a bit. I burn it for maybe 10-15 minutes, then blow it out and the scent will linger for hours. The other three I can leave burning, but if I blow them out the scent will still linger just as the pumpkin did.
For the Gingerbread, I have the smallest jarred size (3 oz, 85 g, 1 wick), and it lasted me maybe a month or so (though it does still have a few more goes in it, I`d say) with me constantly burning it. For the Cider and Apple pie, I have them both in the medium size (11.5 oz, 326 g, 3 wicks), and through lighting them many times this year and last, they`re both still holding up well. I own Pumpkin Spice in the largest size (20 oz, 566 g, 1 wick) which is very similar to the packaging from candle companies such as Yankee Candle. I bought this one this week and have burned it about 3 or 4 times, and have hardly made a dent. This candle is practically strong enough to just leave the lid off of and sit out on its own to make a subtle scent in the room without burning.
Prices may vary, but at my local Walmart the smallest was $1, the medium were $3, and the large were $5. You can also get a set with two large and 3 small for $10. There`s free standing candles without the glass packaging that range from (I believe) about $3-$10.
They`re inexpensive and can make any room feel cozy - I highly recommend them!
