i absolutely adore, this foundation! i don`t think it gets nearly as much love as it should from people. it seems to be over looked with all the foundations MAC has. i thought i would share my opinion and of course show it some love!
what i love about this foundation is that it has a gel based formula. it seems like all i ever see are liquid, cream, or powder foundations.
i find it extremely easy to apply. its very creamy and applies very evenly with little effort and a little product goes a long way.
it has a medium to buildable coverage, but i can apply it even to a light coverage. so i think its very versatile.
i would say that this particular foundation it targeted more towards dry skin types. which i have, but i think it would work for other skin types as well.
it claims to be hydrating. i honestly don`t know if i can tell if it is or not because i always moisturize before i apply it.
it has a satin finish, which is my favorite finish for a foundation. i think it looks the most natural.
it claims to be long wearing, i agree with that. i find that with or without a primer this foundation lasts all day without fading or going patchy.
it also says its water-resistant. oddly enough i agree with that as well, i have worn this foundation on rainy days and it has left my makeup perfectly fine. i wouldn`t say i would wear it in a pool or ocean and expect it to stay on, but i think against the natural elements like rain, this foundation is great!
also i like that its in a squeezey tube, it makes controlling the amount of product you use very easy.
i believe the studio sculpt is one of MAC`s more expensive foundations. it costs $30, but you get 1.3 oz. of product.
i would definitely recommend this foundation to anyone with dry to combination skin or even other skin types to give the studio sculpt foundation a try.
have you tried the studio sculpt foundation? if you have did you like it? or what is one of your favorite MAC foundations?
