MAC Masquerade Madness

Let me begin by saying I absolutely LOVE doing stage makeup. I enjoy doing all makeup, but the stage has my heart. This look will take anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours depending on skill, but don`t be discouraged! Your face will provide you the template and shape, you just have to run with it! First I used my 130 to apply Prep + Prime Skin Smoother all over my face and onto my neck. Then I used the same brush to apply Prep + Prime Fortified Skin Enhancer in Illuminate anywhere the sun would naturally hit my face; the tops of my cheekbones, above my eyebrows, and on the ridge of my nose. After that was completed, I used my 190 to apply Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer NW15 under my eyes and for some contouring under my cheekbones. I contoured that with the same brush using Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm SPF 35 in Light Plus to fill in any gaps left behind by the illuminator and concealer. My next step was to grab my Blacktrack and brush 266 and begin lining my eyes. I began with a basic winged liner, filled in my eyebrows and used the natural lines created by both functions to make the outside of my mask. I carried the bottom line by finding the ares where my underey begins to curve into my cheek ridge and used that place to make a symmetrical design on both sides. Once my mask was outlined, the real fun could begin. I filled in the blank places above my eye and in the bottom corners with my Painterly primer so I could get my Forgery powder to really stick. Now that the Mask is done, I begin to make the feathers. I grab my 210 brush and draw in the red lines using my Russian Red lipstick (I ran out of Paintsticks :/ ) In between the red lines, I made some highlighting lines with Chromacake and the same brush. Lastly, I filled in the black lines for a layered effect. I lined my lips with my Blacktrack and filled them in with Russian Red. I used my 212 to blend and flare the feathers into my skin. I hope this gives you ladies (and Gents!) some inspiration for Mardi Gras, Masquerade balls, or Halloween!
