I am not a "mac" girl anymore, I branched out and discovered new brands and favor other brands, however, I am still a sucker for the limited edition, unique and ok, most hyped mac products, such as the MSFs, strangely not so much about the other LE stuff. anyways, the latest mac collection is "heavenly creatures" and it`s essentially all mineralized stuff, from the MSFs to the blushes to the shadows. I saw the initial PR images when they were released and I just knew I had to get my hands on some of this one. oh and forgive the bad pictures, my camera and I are having issues and it`s not looking good, I might have to break up with her, so I included some cell phone pics which might give you a better idea of the color of these products. sad, I know *smh*
first up - the mineralize skin finishes. there are 4 in the collection but only two really piqued my interest, of course because in the swatches I saw they were the more coral/peach/pink ones. I got Center of the Universe and Light Year. omg these are crazy pigmented so I totally recommend a large stippling brush so you don`t end up with clown like cheeks.
Light year is a mostly a very light peach base, with a little bit of darker pink/peach running through it and some gold. I know, it doesn`t look peachy at at but once you`ve got all the colors swirled together that`s the end result. it`s not glittery really, I`d say you end up with more of a sheen / satin finish.
Center of the Universe is a pretty coral looking MSF on the pan. the "base" color is a very shimmery looking peach shade, followed by a deeper one and almost a matte orange looking shade, although I`m pretty sure it`s not matte. it`s also crazy pigmented and has a very nice sheen to it. again I`d be careful with these since you don`t want to end up looking like a disco ball. I have to say that I saw one of the SA wearing this and it reminded me sooo much of the Sleek blush in Rose Gold, it just seems to have that peachyness with gold over it, I`m going to have to compare these two for sure.
I am extremely happy I picked these two powders up because they are so pretty and intense and unique and they will most definitely last a life time, well at least for me LOL
