MAC Betty Bright Lipstick Review

When I first seen the promo pics for the super adorable MAC Archie`s Girls collection I instantly knew that I just had to have Betty Bright. It`s such a beautiful color and nothing like anything in my collection. It`s a bright pinky coral shade. It looks intimidating in the tube but it`s much softer on me when applied. I`ve noticed a lot of ladies saying this pulls a bit pink but on me out looks mostly coral. Definitely a great spring and summer color! Although I`m a huge fan of the color I really hate the formula! It comes in a satin finish which is the worst finish I`ve tried yet. It`s super drying, emphasizes dryness, makes my lips flake like nobody`s business. I definitely would have preferred this lipstick to be a matte or amplified finish. The wear time is pretty good though. I get around 3-4 hours of wear with slight staining afterwards. This isn`t a lipstick I`d recommend wearing alone though. I like to pair it with a lip liner and gloss. I found Elf`s studio lip liner in Pink Grapefruit and MAC Kiss & Don`t Tell gloss to be a perfect match for Betty Bright. I`ve also seen a few ladies pair it with MAC Lasting Sensation lip liner and it looked great. I`m actually considering picking it up! This lipstick is very warm so it may pull orange or look unflattering on some cooler tones. I still think it`s a great color for a wide range of complexions though. Overall, I really like the lipstick because of the beautiful color but exfoliating and moisturizing is an absolute must!
