This month`s favorites is really quite small. I have been using pretty much the same products over and over. I`m on a pale pink kick, too, which is strange for me because I never thought I liked light pinks on myself. This past month, however, I`ve been wearing A LOT of pale pink cosmetics... or, rather.... I`ve been wearing pale pinks a lot... only a few products.
I`ve been going very minimal on my makeup, too. It has been extremely warm for June in the Midwest. I hate having much on my face when the weather is like that. We`ve been going to the park a lot to play baseball with our son and on those days I stick to mainly just sunblock and lipbalm with an SPF.
I`ll just jump right in and tell you the actual products.
I`ll start with my base product. After cleansing my face I`ve replaced my moisturizer with the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock in SPF 30. I did try out the sample I received in the Target beaty bag, which is SPF 70 and I felt that one was thicker, more difficult to spread, and had more of the typical sunscreen feel to it. It made my face feel like it was suffocating. I`ve noticed, too, that my makeup stays on better when I wear this... even better than other face primers would do for my makeup. So, it is like a 3-in-1! Moisturizer, SPF, and primer! WOOO!!
For my cheeks I have been wearing pale pinks. Some days I have been applying the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Fresh Pink and then topping it with Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Flamingo. Other days I just go with the Sonia Kashuk one and skip the Maybelline.
On my lips I have three products (for the color) that I have been most reaching for. The first is Revlon`s just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm. The second is the same product but in the color Cherish. Some days, I`ve been layering them. if you put down Cherish first and then layer Charm over the top you get a really pretty pale pink. (perfect for what I`ve been drawn to). The third product is L`Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Stick in Cotton Pink. I bought this one fully expecting it to not work on my coloring but I love it! Again, another pale pink. It feels fantastic on the lips.
The final product is a nail polish. I wasn`t fully impressed with a lot of colors this month. The only one I really fell for is Essie East Hampton Cottage. It is clean, classy, and elegant. I just love the way it looks on the nails.
So... that is my very small list of monthly favorites!
