I don`t feel like I have a lot of favorites this month. They were easy to pick because they are the ONLY things I have been reaching for this month. There may have been a day or two where I grabbed a different lip color, but for the most part this is it. A shocker for this month, though, is that I haven`t included a single nail product. Nothing at all. I guess I just wasn`t over the moon about any of the polishes I used through July. YIKES!
I`m going to jump right in.
-Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda concealer palette: I have been using this for any redness or random blemishes. Now that it is summer and my skin is a bit darker the lightest color in this set matches me.
-Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser in Brighten: the one shown here is actually in LIGHT because BRIGHTEN is in a little jar. The packaging broke and would no longer come out. I had to transfer it to a jar...but I figured this was better to actually visually show you the package of the product. I use this under my eyes. It is thin yet has amazing coverage.
-Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Warm: I reach for this one a TON! It has nice coloring too it but isn`t crazy bright.
-Sonia Kashuk blush in Sunset: When I want something with a touch more orange tone to it this is the one I reach for.
-NYC Sunny Bronzer: Okay, okay, I like this stuff as much as everyone hyping it up. It is good and dirt cheap too!
-Maybelline Dream Matte Powder: You can see I am almost out of this. I like that it is finely milled and doesn`t make my face LOOK like I`ve got a bunch of powder on it
-Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm
-Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Precious
-EcoTools stippling brush: I use this to dust on my face powder and then again to apply a light wash of my chosen blush for the day. Sometimes I`ll also use this for bronzer if I`m not contouring that day and just bronzing over my cheeks and forehead
-Sigma Tapered Highlighter F35:I use this to apply the bronzer on days when I want to contour. I don`t contour every day, though.
-Japonesque 232 fluffy brush: I use this to blend in my under eye concealer. It is soft and blends nicely.
-Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30: Every day, this is what I wear under my makeup before I`ll leave the house. It has done very well protecting my skin from too much sun/burns.
-Johnson`s Baby Lotion in Honey Apple Scent: Yup, I use baby lotion! I feel it is more gentle and has less alcohol than other companies scented lotions. If it is good enough for a baby, it is good enough for me. I use it after I get out of the shower, all over my body. My son has taken a liking to it, too. Now he likes to use it to rub all over his arms, lol. It does smell really nice, too. We got the big 27 oz bottle with a pump top because we go through it pretty quickly.
-Viva La Juicy perfume: I dab a bit onto my wrists and neck for the day. It is light and perfect as a warm weather fragrance. My husband even thinks it smells nice. I just have the teeny tiny bottle cause I`m not a huge perfume wearer and it will take me a little while to work my way through the bottle. I`m not one who needs a big bottle of perfume.
....so that is it. As you can see, I have been very simple with my makeup... most days I only have mascara on my eyes. I don`t layer on foundation. I am able to do my whole face of makeup with just 3 brushes (some days 2). I`m keeping it very minimal and simple. It has been too dang hot to deal with a full face of perfectly applied, colorful makeup... it would just melt off. Simplicity works for me.
