This is another month that has gone by with very few "favorite" products. That is perfectly okay with me, though. It just means the items I have been using were extra special! :-) Oh, and I`m still in my very minimal makeup phase. It is just too hot to layer a bunch of products on. I feel like my face will just start slipping off the second I step outside (let alone spend actual time doing outdoor activities).
The first product is also one of the first I put onto my face. It is the Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer palette. I don`t use the entire palette, the colors don`t work well for me... all except the lightest. That one has been working well for blemishes and red areas. It is opaque enough to do the job and because it isn`t super creamy and slick, it stays in place even in the worst of heat. I can trust that it isn`t going to slip off or melt away. I wish I could just buy that single color, though. :-(
The next item is the powder I have been using to set my face. It is the Coty Air Spun Loose powder (translucent). It does have a strong floral smell (kind of granny-ish) but it doesn`t look heavy and helps my face stay mattified for a long period of time.
The blushes I have been using are some Sonia Kashuk and a Wet n Wild. The wet n wild one is Pearlescent Pink. I have had this one for a while but it always amazes me just how pigmented it is. It is next to being dirt cheap, too! The Sonia Kashuk colors are Flamingo and Sunset. They are just a light pink and an orange-coral.
As for my lips.. I have been very simple. I have mostly been wearing two different Revlon Balm Stains. The shades are Precious and Honey. They`re just so easy to wear. No fuss no muss. If I don`t wear these, it has just been balm. I`m serious when I say it has been minimal this month.
The final items are my nail products. I am head over heels in love with my aEngland polishes. The two, specifically are Tristam and Lady Of The Lake. ::swoon:: They`re amazing. The other nail product is Sally Hansens Triple Strong. I won`t go into too much detail because I`m going to do a review. However, it is now my favorite base coat. It is the only one I have been using since I bought it and you can already see how much I`ve used up. LOVE IT! This is now a staple in my polish stash.
So, there you have it... the complete list of my August Favorites!
