I am by no means a cook but when I had left over steak and potatoes, I decided let`s try to cook something! Obviously, it doesn`t look like a real omlette because I don`t know how to properly cook it...trust me, I was staring at it for a while and wondering should I or should I not turn up the heat to make sure they cook thoroughly LOL!
Ingredients I used:

Pre-Cooked Steak

Pre-cooked Seasoned Potatoes

2 Eggs

Salt

Pepper

If you don`t have pre-cooked steak and potatoes, just cook them before you make the omlette :)
What I did:

I diced the steak and potatoes and placed them into the fridge until I was ready to use them.

In a frying pan, with a bit of oil and at medium temperature, I warmed and browned the potatoes, after about 5 minutes, I added in the diced steak and continued to warm it for another 10 minutes to make sure everything was heated up.

I beat up two eggs in a big bowl, added a bit of salt and pepper.

Once the eggs were beaten, I poured in the cooked potatoes and steak into the eggs...yes pour the cooked items into the raw :)

Mix everything together in the bowl.

In a frying pan, at medium heat, heat the pan up until it`s hot, then keep the stove on but take the frying pan off of the burner and let it cool.

With a little bit of oil, pour the mixture into the frying pan when the pan is still warm (not hot, or else you`ll cook the eggs instantly).

Once you`ve poured everything in,even out everything so you don`t have clumps of potatoes and steak on one side, place the pan back on the burner and turn down the heat to low-medium and watch your omlette.

This is the tricky part, waiting for the omlette to cook through. I essentially left the stove on low-medium heat and didn`t touch the omlette until maybe about 5 minutes later when the bottom of the omlette was already solid and cooked.

Continue to cook the omlette until its cooked all the way through.

Serve it up!

So here is my recipe for steak and potatoes omlette. It`s definitely a more hearty omlette and I think its perfect for lunch, might be a tad bit heavy for breakfast but hey who am I to say no steak for breakfast! Give it a try or if you have better omlette recipes just let me know!
What do you think? Have you ever tried steak and eggs in your omlette?
