This look is another older look of mine, one that I had made after I made the first look the one with the blue cropped sweater though I really cant tell you why I made it, since it was created over a year ago. Though I think that I made it with the idea of something to wear for a young woman who wanted to go out.
I chose this puff-sleeved blouse in light pink 1) because it is light and pal whereas the rest of the outfit is somewhat dark and 2) because the shorts are kind of short balance is needed so you dont come off looking trashy or slutty though it does come in other colors. For the bottoms, I picked out a pair of black shorts from G by Guess, that are semi-cuffed and almost entirely cotton and also come with a little zipper detailing on the back apparently. One of my favorite things about this outfit is the pumps, a pair that come in a gorgeous blue with a cute little twist of fabric at the toe that will help show off those legs, since the heel is 4 ½ inches. For the bag, I picked out a bag from H&M that is imitation leather and a fake animal skin so no animals were actually harmed in the creation of the bag, in case thats what people look for when buying bags.
And trust me, I totally understand now that parts of this dont work (like that necklace one word: why?) and that maybe less is more. But honestly, the flower thing is there just to take up space because I had a blank space left at the end of making the set. I dont like the necklace anymore the longer that I look at it, but I do like the other parts. For the ring, I found a vintage inspired crystal ring from the 1928 brand. 1928 has some really nice jewelry for pretty affordable prices. For bracelets, I picked an Ettika mini cuff and multi-chain bracelet in silver, to play off the lightness of the top a bit and a braided bracelet from Forever 21. To finish off the look, I added a pair of arrow earrings in silver from the House of Harlow 1960 line.
Let me know what you guys think. :)
