i had a coupon for $5 off a $20 food purchase from BJ`s and they rarely have coupons, so i went with my sister today. the coupon expires tomorrow and i definitely don`t want to go there on new year`s eve... it can get crowded on any given day, especially during peak hours, but especially on holidays!
i ordered the balsamic glaze chicken. this isn`t the first time i`ve had it and it definitely won`t be the last. it`s listed as being 850 calories which i consider to be low since you get all these thin fried onion rings on top AND there is cheddar in the mashed potatoes. (i asked for plain and was informed that they only do either white cheddar or horseradish. i`m not a horseradish fan!) most of the items on their menu are 1000+ calories.
my sister, who is 9, ordered a kids meal which consisted of chicken tenders, smiley face potatoes, and strawberry lemonade. that is literally the only thing she orders. i keep telling her to try something else, but she refuses!
we were both super full BUT you can`t go to BJ`s without having a pizookie, plus we were just under the $20 threshold to use our coupon. instead of getting a full sized pizookie as we typically do, we just got a mini cookies `n cream one and split it. if you didn`t know, a pizookie is a deep dish cookie topped with ice cream. the cookies `n cream one comes with this really yummy cookies `n cream flavored whipped cream too... SO GOOD! sadly, i don`t have a photo of it :( but maybe that`s better for you guys because i`m sure it would`ve had everyone drooling ;)
it was a super yummy meal and after using our coupon, it came out to just over $20 including tax and tip. not bad for a sit down place! my sister and i both loved what we ordered as well as the pizookie.
have you ever been to BJ`s?
