Last weekend, I went out for lunch at Annona Restaurant at Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto. I ate from their Winterlicious menu which offered a 3 course meal for $20.
For my appetizer, I had the Panko Crusted Smoked Salmon Bites. I expected something different and it pretty much tasted like a ball of cream cheese with some bits of smoked salmon and fried bits on the outside.
For my main course I had Braised Beef Short Ribs with Deep-fried Macaroni and Cheese. The texture of the beef was tender, but was rather salty flavor-wise. The fried macaroni and cheese was not as creamy and cheesy as I would expect it to be.
For desert, I had red velvet cake (for the first time i might add). It was okay nothing special in my opinion.
I was overall not too impressed with the winterlicious lunch menu, but ive looked at a blog post about dinner and it seemed like the selection was a lot better.
