I started eating oatmeal religiously every morning about a year ago when I decided that I need to loose some weight. Fast forward a year later, I`ve managed to loose more than 20 pounds :) I am not saying that eating oatmeal is the only way to loose weight but it`s definitely a healthier option compare to say a donut or a breakfast meal from McDonald`s. Of course, you`ll have to exercise too in order to keep the weights off :)
I usually load my oatmeal with plenty of fruits and make it as colorful as possible so that I don`t get bored eating the same thing over and over again and also so that I get my Vitamin Cs` and other nutrients from different fruits. That way, I have at least my 2 servings of fruits in my diet as recommended by the American Dietetic Association =) Here`s my bowl of delicious oatmeal topped with sliced champagne mangoes, strawberries and grapes!
