Who loves cars? Me me me! I have always enjoyed cars every since I was little girl. Today is Free Tuesday`s for San Diego residents to visit some museums at Balboa Park so my boyfriend and I visited the San Diego Automotive Museum.
Exhibits you`ll see:
Show Stoppers - Over 20 cars
Harley Davidson Collection - Over 20 motorcycles
Louis Mattar`s Fabulous Car
For an additional $2 admission:
Barn Find Cars
My boyfriend and I had a fun time seeing all sorts of cars from the past. I wish they had an updated car collection though. This makes me want to go to an auto show when they have one. I love looking at cars, it`s fun and even better since it was free. Regular admission is $8 but a student idea would be $5. Either way, I had a fun time reading car descriptions and looking at cars.
Do you like to go to car museums?
Photos via Mine | Don`t take without Permission.
Photo #1 is a 1990 Ferrari Testarossa. The car`s top speed is 185mph, 380 hp and the car weighs 3,660lb. There were only 1,000 of these built and the gas is only 11-16 mpg wow horrible, lol! The car is named Testarossa because in Italian that means "redhead". In order to have bought this car back in the days- you would have to pay upfront and it took 5 years to factory!
Photo #4- the red car is a Bizzarrini P538 from 1966. There are only three of these cars made. The car is not only a car but it can transfer water from the radiator under the hood to the engine in the rear. The car is lighter than the Ferrari weighing 2,620lb. Top speed is 170 with 420 hp at 5,500 rpm. This is the first of 3 built!
I don`t have description of the other cars.. my boyfriend was lazy to snap them, lol.. maybe next time. He was also lazy to snap photos of the motorcycles. =)
