So this is how my family deals with left-overs. We combine all the left-overs from last night into a pot, heat it up, and cook it with some rice noodles. To add some extra flavour, we found that the best trick is to add a few pieces of bacon. And VOILA! You got a delicious lunch.
So in today`s rice noodles, there were veggie chicken, tomatoes, bacon, sliced mushrooms and cabbages. It`s very healthy as the ingredients were almost all veggies. No extra oil is needed to cook this as it`s a noodle soup. Adding the bacon is all you need in terms of salt. Bacon adds a salty flavour that`s different than using salt or soy sauce.
I think this is an excellent way of not wasting food. It`s simple, healthy, and still delicious. The mixture of flavours from combining several dishes together really adds to the complexity of the taste.
