Another day of eating out. Whenever I`m home, I feel like I`m never eating at home. It`s such a bad habit, especially on my wallet...and my waistline haha. Anyways, my family decided to go to Green Island in Temple City to grab some lunch. I`ve been very experimental lately with what I eat, so I decided to order something really weird and went with the salmon head stone pot.
My parents always order it but I`ve never dared to try it because salmon head just doesn`t sound like something you eat. However, something really made me want to try it so I ordered it. I made my siblings order other things just in case I didn`t like this. It came in a piping hot stone pot. The salmon head was mixed in with some brocolli, green onions, and chinese sausage. It`s covered in a sauce that I`m not too sure what it`s made out of.
It is another unappealing dish, but it smells really good. The sauce is very savory. The salmon head wasn`t anything that I expected. I was expecting skulls and little meat, but it was actually pretty meaty. It tasted like salmon/fish which wasn`t to exciting, but the meat with the sauce was delicious. The veggies and chinese sausages tasted normal lol. It probably isn`t very healthy, but it tasted a lot better than I was expecting. I`m definitely going to have to order this again the next time I`m there.
So that`s it for my weird lunch of the day. I`m actually liking this experimental dining. I`m getting exposed to some weird but tasty food. Have any of you ever had salmon head before? Does this sound like something you would try?
