LOTD: Italian Bakery

<div dir="ltr">
Today was Valentines day and my boyfriend surprised me and woke me up with a huge stuffed frog, big bunch of flowers and a box of assorted flowers. It was the sweetest thing because he was so excited to give it to me and it just made my heart melt. =]&nbsp;<div><br /></div><div>

ANYWAY! Today I was craving McDonald`s but he wasn`t feeling it, so we drove around until we saw this little Italian Bakery called "Dolce Sicilia". We went inside thinking it was just pastries and sweets but they had homemade pizza, calzones, lasagne, chicken parmigiana, sandwiches and much more. I felt like I was in Italy in a small little cafe on a date with my love, it was just really nice. He chose to have the lasagne and I chose to have a spinach and ricotta calzone. His lasagne was served with 3 slices of garlic bread and the lasagne was drenched in homemade marinara sauce. My calzone was served with a side of chips and side bowl of marinara sauce. Their food was super tasty and it was really authentic Italian cuisine. His meal cost $9.50 and mine was $6.50. I don`t think it was a bad price for the meal, we were certainly stuffed at the end. Too bad I didn`t have my camera with me, I was sad =[. NEXT TIME! I need to buy me a spare camera!</div><div><br /></div><div>

We did buy some Italian cookie/pastries to go and they are small buttery, flaky cookies with strawberry jam or citrus filling covered in powdered sugar. It was divine! IT cost $15 a pound and there was about 25 cookies in the box so it was ok in price. They had so many different cookies, napoleons, cannolis, tiramisu and fresh breads. I would definitely recommend this place and I think my love and I might go again this weekend....hehehe.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>

How was your Valentines Day?</div><div><br /></div><div>
