For lunch I stopped by this newly opened Vietnamese restaurant. This is actually the second restaurant, the original one is located somewhere in El Monte. Despite the fact that it`s a newly open restaurant, it was PACKED! Luckily since there was only 2 of us, we were seated immediately since there was a table for 2 open.
Even though it is a Vietnamese restaurant, we were greeted and ordered in Cantonese. Kind of weird but I cared more about the food haha. We both ordered the Pho Ga and it came out within 3 minutes of ordering. This place uses a thicker noodle and has a clearer broth. Not your traditional Pho Ga, but it is oh so good! The soup is nicely flavored and their chicken is delicious and tender. There was also a bunch of green onions and onion slices in the soup. The sauce that it comes with is also really good but too much will over power the noodles and soup. I have only tried the Pho Ga but I don`t know if I want to try anything else since the Pho Ga is so good!
A small bowl was about $5 which isn`t bad since you do get a lot of food packed into a bowl. I am definitely going to have to stop by soon! If you`re ever in the 626 area, definitely give this place a try!
