Hey Luuux Foodlings ^^
The other day, my boyfriend and I met up with two friends of ours who are a couple getting married soon! If you saw one of my previous food posts talking about having to help with one of my friends` marriage proposals, this is the couple that we helped :D They said they were so thankful that we helped with the proposal, that they wanted to treat us to lunch :) They`re so sweet <3 We were going to go to a nice Italian restaurant, but since it was kind of far away, we just decided to go to The Cheesecake Factory :D No complaints here, because I love their food! Anyway, keep reading to see what we ordered!
<strong>Appetizer: Ahi Carpaccio</strong>
This was my first time trying this, but it was pretty good :) It was very light and refreshing, so perfect as an appetizer! It`s described as "<em>Thin Slices of Raw Ahi Tuna, Wasabi Pesto, Creamy Avocado and Togarashi Aioli</em>". The raw Ahi Tuna eaten with the greens, avocado and tomatoes really meshed well together. On top of that, the Togarashi Aioli sauce really sealed the deal with a slightly Asian-tinged flavor :)
<strong>My Boyfriend`s Entree: Herb Crusted Filet of Salmon</strong> (Lunch Portion)
I never ordered any fish entree at TCF, so my boyfriend decided to go with this dish. It`s described as: "<em>Fresh Salmon with a Delicious Lemon Sauce, Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes</em>". I didn`t really think this dish was all that great. The salmon was very soggy and had the texture of canned tuna :T The mashed potatoes were actually the highlight of the dish. Wouldn`t recommend ordering this unless you just want to pay for good mashed potatoes (which you can find on plenty of other entrees as well). Sadly disappointed, but at least I know for future visits.
<strong>My Entree: Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta</strong> (Lunch Portion)
You`ve probably seen this in one of my previous food posts. This is my favorite pasta dish at TCF :D It`s a well balanced pasta because it has that cream sauce base, but also a slight spiciness to it :) Not too creamy and not too zingy~ It`s described as: "<em>Honey Glazed Chicken, Asparagus, Red and Yellow Peppers, Peas, Garlic and Onion in a Spicy Chipotle Parmesan Cream Sauce</em>".
<strong>Desserts: Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake & Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake</strong>
We also got dessert, but I forgot to capture it on my camera :T I usually don`t order dessert when I go because I`m too full, but the other couple insisted, so we decided altogether to get 2 different kinds. The Fresh Strawberry is of course a classic, so we went for that one, and we also chose the Lemon Raspberry Cream one! I loved how the Lemon Raspberry one tasted <3 Cheesecake can get to be a little too overwhelming when you`ve had too much, but the lemon and raspberry flavors balanced out the creaminess of the cheesecake very well :) Highly recommend trying that one!
That`s it for this food post! Next time I`ll show what our friends got :D Didn`t include it because I thought the post would get a little long~ We had a great time just enjoying each other`s company and eating good food! I was relieved this time I went because the service was wonderful! Moreover, it was nice to see the couple together before they get married :) They looked so happy and sweet together <3
