For lunch today, my company ordered out. For 60 people, we managed to get jerk chicken catering from a new Carribean restaurant 15 minutes away.
Because I can eat very spicy, I decided to eat the jerk chicken rather than the mild chicken =) And because I`m a bit scared of gaining weight, I decided to go the healthy route and fill 1/2 my plate with salad without dressing rather than meat and rice.
The rice was vegetarian as it contained spices and kidney beans. I loved this rice but I only ate about 1/4 of a cup because it was very fattening. Due to the kidney beans, the rice was very sweet and had a mild spicy kick to it. It was delicious!
The jerk chicken was very tender, it fell right off the bones without any effort! It was exceptionally juicy and to be honest, it wasn`t spicy =P My coworker had brought in homemade chili sauce with ghost peppers so that was much better!
