This here is my lunch of the day, from this afternoon. We made homemade steak and cheese sandwiches. We had picked up some shaved steak at the market and cooked it up in a pan with just a little pepper and salt to season it. Surprisingly the shaved steak at my market is really lean beef so there`s really no fat at all that comes out of it. In another pan we steamed onions and green peppers, with a few mushrooms being steamed in another pan (my boyfriend doesn`t like mushrooms, so to help keep him from having to pick his meal apart, it`s easier). When the meat and peppers and onions were done, we combined the both then seasoned with a bit more black pepper and sea salt.
My boyfriend put his sandwich together on sub bread, while I used my staple pita because with me on Weight Watchers it`s less points than sub bread, plus I just like pita. Anyway, I layered my meat mixture on, added some mushrooms, my slice of fat free American cheese, crushed hot peppers, sliced lettuce and ketchup. I rolled it all up and enjoyed!
It was a very satisfying and filling meal. We have leftovers, so this will be my lunch tomorrow. Nom-nom!
